Fast steady charging cable - IBAADII Braided USB4 Cable, 1.5m 40Gbps 8K@60Hz, 240W PD 3.1

Very happy with the results coming out of this cable. In 27min it charged up my laptop (Mac Air M2) by 34%. That is truly good result in my books. Especially that I keep using the laptop while charging. It is only 1.5m but in my current arrangement it is enough.I like the information about the cable's capability on one end of the USB C, and the display showing how W duuring the charge and the way (PD).The transfer speed - when using is as the data cable - is also good and rather standard at 40Gpns and *K @60Hz. Happy with these too.The built is solid sturdy and definitely durable - this is a cable that won't damage easily or break. As mentioned 1.5m is enough for me at the current set up.Great value for money, especially when I think about charging speed.

Works well at 4K144 and no issues at ~90W with a laptop

For a well made cable that offers a little insight into the power being delivered by it this is good. It's quite a chunky cable even by braided standards but it feels robust and the respective plugs have a positive fit with everything i've tried. Charged both mobiles* and laptops without issue up to ~90W for the maximum charge speed my device is capable of which is excellent.*Using AccuBattery Pro the cable display reported the wattage within ~6% of the reported app power and it was more reactive to the power changes than the Android app.Likewise video was good with my monitor working well at 4K144 10bit RGB including VRR (see screenshot). The ends do get warm during use but no different than similar cables i have delivering that kind of power. It's a chunky cable rather than supple but it's fast in terms of power delivery and transfer speeds while also being informative. I do wish the display rotated depending on the position but only a wish.Recommended.

High-Spec USB4 cable for fast charging and data with digital display of charging rate

Using a USB cable tester I was able to confirm that all 24 USB-C pins are connected on this cable which means it can support the latest fast charging and superspeed data transfer rates (there are two sets of D+/D- pins and which set is connected depends on which way around you insert the cable, that's why two LEDS are not lit on the cable tester in the attached photos). It has a good build quality too with a thick braided cable that is a decent length (1.5m) for such a high-spec cable and the flex relief on each USB-C connector is substantial.A very nice feature of this cable is the blue LED display that indicates charging rate (in watts) and, importantly, this also tells you whether a PD ("Power Delivery") charging mode is active, though it doesn't tell you what voltage has been selected this is still great info to have. My iPhone 17 was 84% charged so the PD negotiation selected a low power charging mode in the attached photos, but I checked again when the phone was low on power and the charging rate started at just under 40W. This is good for checking whether your charger actually supports Power Delivery and is charging at the rate it claims to support (and that your device can support, an iPhone 17 has max 45W (3A @ 15V) charging rate). If you're looking for a cable that will support fast data and charging standards and the latest USB4 and Thunderbolt interfaces then this one will do the job, it's not cheap but the addition of the digital power meter certainly adds extra value over alternatives.

High power cable with meter for laptop charging - great.

These is a nice 1.5m USB cable. It promises to deliver up to 240W and I don't really have a way of testing that, but they certainly work just fine delivering 25W to my phone, which is more than can be said for some cheaper cables. I have a USB power meter and used it to check the reading from the display end of this cable, and they agree pretty well - suggesting the reading is probably fairly accurate. It also delivers 130W to my laptop,It is well made with a nice braid outer for protection, which also works well to reduce tangling. There is good strain relief at both ands, and the connectors seem solidly made. The end with power display is slightly bulkier than a standard connector and didn't work with my phone in its case, so I just put the power display at the charger end instead.Good quality, good value at £16.99 for two at time of review.

Brilliant USB-C cable with brilliant display

This review is for: USB4 Cable 1.5m, 240W PD 3.1 USB C to USB C Cable with LED Display, 40Gbps 8K@60Hz Video, Nylon Braided Thunderbolt 4/3Compatible for MacBook Pro, Docking Station, SSD-GREYMy first impression about this cable was very positive.Cable is thick but easily bendable, which is very good.Cable came with little cable tie and two plastic connector protectors, what usually is a sign for good quality cables. As expected e-marker chip was properly detected by my tester and it can confirm that it is 250W (50V, 5A) cable.I've ordered this cable for my mobile charger only, so I've tested it with my mobile (Realme GT 8 Pro).As you can see on my second photo readings are very visible on that little display. And, more importantly for me, the readings are displayed to one decimal place. Some other cables I've tested only display whole-number readings. So that is huge advantage of this cable :)Overall it is great cable and I can definitely recommend it to others.Easiest 5 stars from me today.

Fair priced, high spec, USB-C cable

I ordered this to connect a gaming laptop with a gaming monitor, and I’ve also tested it for charging a range of devices. In my testing it hit 100W delivering power to a laptop, and 45W to two different types of mobile phone. The cable is braided and feels exceptionally rugged, and I was pleased to see there’s plenty of protection where the cable joins the connectors. The built-in display reflected the wattage being delivered with only small variations compared with other testers I have. I wasn’t able to verify the 8K features as I don’t have hardware that supports that standard, but for the overall specification the price feels more than fair.Pros• Useful real-time power readout makes it easy to spot when you’re not getting full speed charging.• Sturdy braided jacket and reassuringly firm connectors.• USB4 spec should cover fast data and display use (where your devices support it).• 1.5m length is a good middle ground: not too short, not overly bulky for travel.Cons• The LED display is bright enough to notice in a dark room (not a deal-breaker, but worth knowing for bedside use).• To benefit from 240W PD 3.1 / 40Gbps / 8K features, you’ll need compatible chargers, devices and ports - the cable can’t upgrade older USB C gear.• Slightly thicker than basic charging leads, which is expected for higher-spec cables.Overall: If you want one high-spec USB C cable that’s built to last and you like the idea of seeing the live charging wattage, this is a great option for a laptop/phone setup. I’ve knocked off one star mainly because the display can be a bit noticeable at night and the headline speeds are only achievable with the right supporting hardware - but as a premium USB4 cable, it’s very good.

Good quality cable

I ordered this cable so that I could take it with me when charging my Macbook. It is a good quality, braided cable, and have found with my 100w charger that it charges my Macbook up close to the maximum 100w(this is largely dependant on the battery state and so it may go much higher but I can't test this). The connectors are decent quality and I really like it has a small display that shows the charging rate and whether it is negotiating it's charging speed through PD.In summary, this is a decent quality cable and reasonable value.

Good cable but possible PD issue

Ok cable if you are using it for data transfer but really struggles with high PD wattage cuts my dock out regularly. Feels durable though and has been comparable with everything I’ve used it on.

Solid cable that charges quickly and lasts

This cable charges my MacBook noticeably faster than my old one, easily hitting 50% in about half an hour. The braided nylon jacket feels sturdy and the reinforced connections suggest it'll handle daily use without falling apart. Data transfers are genuinely quick when I'm moving files around, and it connects properly with all my devices without any faffing about. The built-in display showing actual wattage is genuinely useful for checking whether my charger is doing its job properly. For the price, it's good value and does everything it claims without any drama.

Great all‑rounder cable for charging, display, and high‑speed transfers

This USB4 cable is really handy if you want one lead that can handle fast charging, high‑speed data, and display output all at once. The LED wattage display is genuinely useful — you can see exactly how much power your device is pulling the moment you plug it in, which takes the guesswork out of whether your charger or port is actually delivering full speed.Charging performance is strong. With PD 3.1 support up to 240W, it’s capable of powering laptops, tablets, phones, and high‑demand devices without struggling. The E‑Marker chip helps regulate power safely, and the cable feels built for heavy use thanks to the braided jacket and reinforced strain‑relief. It’s noticeably sturdier than basic USB‑C leads.Data and display capabilities are where it stands out. Being a full USB4 cable, it supports 40 Gbps transfers — ideal for external SSDs or moving large media files quickly.Overall, it’s a very capable cable with proper high‑spec performance. The real‑time wattage display is a great quality‑of‑life feature, the build feels durable, and the USB4 bandwidth makes it suitable for charging, data, and display all in one. A solid pick if you want a single cable that does everything without compromise.

robust speedy cable with useful power level LED (doesn’t show data speeds)

PROS-little LCD is useful, it’s good to know how much power is going from source to destination-pretty speedy: I’m getting Read: 3124.27MB/s and Write: 2983.02MB/s to an NVME drive (from which I was previously getting approximately R: 3100MB/s and W: 2700MB/s with a different USB4 cable) in a TB5 enclosure connected to an M1 Mac Mini (which has TB4 ports).-I tested this to pass 130W to a device rated capable of accepting 130W, from a 200W USB power supply-LCD power meter seems accurate (it agrees with my other testers, unusual for these built-in screens, which are usually a few 10’s of watts off)-robust woven sheath-decent strain relief-good value, at £16.99CONS-cable is not very flexible (understandable, what with the protective sheath and full set of USB-C wires)-LCD only shows power transfer, not data throughput (a missed opportunity)MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Suspect quality

I bought two of the leads and one doesn't charge at as high a wattage as the other and gets noticeably warmer. Probably a manufacturing flawed leading to power being turned to heat in the cable. At £15 each that's not good

There is no going back, displays on cables are the new norm

If you are tired of guessing whether your phone is actually fast-charging, this built-in display is a total game changer.I am a huge fan of cables with built-in displays, and I honestly will not go back to standard ones now. I tested this with my older Samsung S22, where the port can be a bit temperamental. Being able to see exactly what wattage is being delivered is a revelation. It takes all the guesswork out of wondering if you have a solid connection or if the charger is actually outputting what it should. The quality of the build is excellent. It has a very solid braiding that feels like it will actually last rather than fraying after a few months of use. The metal housing on the connectors is sturdy and feels premium in the hand.In terms of appearance, the digital readout is crisp and easy to see without being overly bright at night.Easy to recommend
